Reyes<\/strong> is Professor Emeritus at the Ateneo de Manila University. Dr. Reyes has done research on various aspects of literature and popular culture since the early 1970s.\u00a0 Her publications include <em>Ang Nobelang Tagalog<\/em>, <em>1905-1975: Tradisyon at Modernismo<\/em> (1982), <em>Reading Popular Culture<\/em> (1990), <em>The Romance Mode in Philippine Popular Literature<\/em> <em>and Other Essays<\/em> (1991), <em>Ang Pagbasa ng Panitikan\u00a0at Kulturang Popular<\/em> (1997), <em>Aliw<\/em> (2000), <em>Narratives of Note<\/em> (2012), among others. Capino<\/strong> is Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. An alumnus of the Ateneo de Manila University Department of Communication (BA Communication \u201994) and Northwestern University (PhD in Radio\/Film\/TV \u201902), Dr. Capino specializes in Documentary Cinema, Experimental Film and Postcolonial Studies. A multi-awarded scholar, Dr. Capino\u2019s publications include\u00a0<i>Dream Factories of the Former Colony: American Fantasies, Philippine Cinema\u00a0<\/i>(2010), Winner of the 2012 Book Award for a Monograph in Cultural Studies awarded by the Association for Asian American Studies.
